MAY the FLOW be with you!

FLOW is the element that binds all the Mountain Bike techniques together. From those discovering the joys of  the gentle flowing single track trails; to those using the g-FORCE of high speed bermed corners and catching air on drops and jumps.

The control and line you take through a trail determines whether the trail FLOWs with you or not. Discover how to develop your FLOW on the "MAY the FLOW be with you" course, and improve how you enjoy your ride. This is a special course for May only,  using the flowing trails in Hamsterley Forest or Chopwell Woods, and is based on one of the elements of our "Finding your FLOW" course.

Develop your FLOW on a "MAY the FLOW be with you"; the cost of the course is

£30.00 per person

£45.00 for a parent and child (NB. minimum age 8 years old)

This is a 2.5 hour "open" course with a maximum of 8 Pedawan learners on each course.

This course is only available in MAY.  Check out our YouTube video

Our WOOD’N’YOU sessions, are designed to provide a positive environment and situations where you can go at natures pace discover new things and skills and enjoy our surroundings.

All sessions are designed to allow us to slow down, relax and enjoy the forest environment around us; the sounds of the forest, the scent of the trees, the sunlight through the leaves, the fresh air, the peace and tranquility, the sound of the birds, the branches moving in the wind, the wild life and plants that live in the forest. These things give us a sense of comfort. They ease our stress and worry, help us to relax and to think more clearly.

Being in nature can restore our mood, give us back our energy and vitality, refresh and rejuvenate us. We don’t offer Wi-Fi, but you’ll never be more connected!

Our WOOD’N’YOU activities include:-

Let’s collect wood and light a fire in one of our specific Bushcraft areas. Then put a brew on, possibly cook something over our open fire, then sit around talking. We could make things from wood and natural materials, while taking in the sounds and smells of the forest.

How about a gentle guided walk through the forest; stopping to take in the nature around us, doing some Wellbeing activities, or putting the kettle on for a brew and biscuits. Why not learn to navigate, so you can get out and about yourself.

Why not a gentle guided bike ride and visit areas of the forest you wouldn’t normally get to; we can stop when and where we need to for a break and to take in the sights and sounds around us.

B. All of our courses and guided rides are run in line with the latest Covid guidelines; and we advise you to bring your own bikes and safety equipment (helmet, gloves and glasses); Bike hire may be available from an external provider, please email for more information. Please check the terms and conditions for each session on our calendar
