ADVANCED TRAIL RIDERS MTB CAMPS

Terrain - Drops, Terrain Jumps, Red, Black and Natural Trails

Our MTB Camps are run in association with Hamsterley Forest - Forestry England, Ride Hamsterley bike hire and Bird Cycleworks.

Our ADVANCED TRAIL RIDERS CAMPS are designed to develop MTB techniques and expand the trails that your Kids ride, this camp is a step up from our Trail Riders Holiday camps. The camps take place over one day, and each One Day Advanced Trail Riders (ATR) Camp will have specific coaching themes, with two different one day ATR Camps in a week, with different coaching themes on each session.

The ATR Camps will cover body position, braking, cornering, FLOW,  and riding technical trails; and specific coaching themes may include bigger drops and terrain jumps, manuals and bunny hops; advanced corning; and more….

ADVANCED TRAIL RIDERS CAMPS are ideal if your child is aged 10 or over, they are comfortable riding red trails as a minimum and they are wanting to develop their MTB skills and confidence on their bike.

Bike Hire

We do not offer bike hire, but if you do not have a bike, we work closely with “Ride Hamsterley” who offer top quality bike hire for children and adults in Hamsterley Forest and, depending on availability, other venues. Please contact us if you require MTB hire

E-Mountain Bikes

We welcome riders on eMTB’s as well as none powered MTB’s, on most of our MTB Courses, Camps and Guided Rides.

PLEASE NOTE

eMTB riders must be at least 14 years old and eMTB’s must be UK & EU “Pedalec” legal. Riders of eMTB’s must also be respectful and tolerant to riders of  none  powered bikes (and vice-versa)

DAY ONE - ADVANCED TRAIL RIDERS CAMPS  

NB. the programme may vary depending on the riders and environmental aspects, but a basic idea of the programme is:-

• Morning session - Developing FLOW, corning and advanced corning.
• Afternoon session - Coaching and riding on carefully chosen RED Trails in Hamsterley Forest

DAY TWO - ADVANCED TRAIL RIDERS CAMPS  

NB. the programme may vary depending on the riders and environmental aspects, but a basic idea of the programme is:-

• Morning session - developing Drops and Terrain Jumps on Red trails
• Afternoon session - developing these skills with some Coaching and riding on RED & BLACK Trails.
