Ideal for riders who have started riding Red trails and want to explorer further afield.

Our MTB Camps are run in association with Hamsterley Forest - Forestry England, Ride Hamsterley bike hire and Bird Cycleworks.

For those aged 14 to 17 years old, this Mountain Biking camp will get your teenage riders riding exciting trails. Experience a variety of trails and terrains throughout the week; and develop the essential MTB skills. Using purpose built MTB trails in Hamsterley Forest and wild country trails in the surrounding areas, to introduce and practice various techniques.

The MTB ADVENTURERS CAMPS develop the key skills for taking Mountain Bikes on adventures; whether on graded Trail Centre trails or exploring wild country trails. Based around the core elements of Gears, Brakes, Balance and Control; we’ll look at ‘FLOW’ and how we can keep our momentum up, ride over simple obstacles. The camp will also develop the understanding and skills to explore the trails, bridleways and byways; and deal with repairs etc. Along the way we will cover some common trailside repairs; as well as navigation, first aid and riding in the countryside, based on the level 4 Go-MTB proficiency award.

It’s a fun and busy few days but during these we will experience a range of tracks and trails, and through this your ability and confidence will grow; and you’ll leave a different rider. Ideal for riders who have started riding Red trails.

Bike Hire

We do not offer bike hire, but if you do not have a bike, we work closely with “Ride Hamsterley” who offer top quality bike hire for children and adults in Hamsterley Forest and, depending on availability, other venues. Please contact us if you require MTB hire

E-Mountain Bikes

We welcome riders on eMTB’s as well as none powered MTB’s, on most of our MTB Courses, Camps and Guided Rides.

PLEASE NOTE

eMTB riders must be at least 14 years old and eMTB’s must be UK & EU “Pedalec” legal. Riders of eMTB’s must also be respectful and tolerant to riders of  none  powered bikes (and vice-versa)
