Night Riding. For those wishing to enjoy the thrills of Night Riding for themselves, we can offer you a course to prepare you for the adventure.

The course,  includes information on the extra equipment needed to ride off road in the dark, types of light available, safety, repairs, night navigation and of course experience the exhileration of riding in the dark.

Winter Riding: Why stop when the weather turns cold? The course, usually run over two days. It includes information on the extra equipment needed to ride in intermediate and winter conditions, tyre choice, safety, repairs, navigation and of course riding in the snow and on ice.

Expedition and Wild Country: Take your bike further than ever before. Cycle4Adventure are one of the few companies experienced in providing training for Mountain Bike expeditions. Learn the skills you need for journeys off the beaten track, including navigation, what equipment is needed, transporting equipment on your bike and trailside repairs. We can also lead you on a Guided Ride to help you build your confidence.

As with all of our courses, we can tailor these to meet your requirements, as either 1:1, private hire group or as part of an open course with other people.

E-Mountain Bikes

We welcome riders on eMTB’s as well as none powered MTB’s, on most of our MTB Courses, Camps and Guided Rides.

Please note eMTB riders must be at least 14 years old and eMTB’s must be UK & EU “Pedalec” legal. Riders of eMTB’s must also be respectful and tolerant to riders of  none  powered bikes (and vice-versa)

INTRODUCTION TO NIGHT RIDING

For those new to exploring the trails in the dark - after an introduction to the principles of riding in the dark, safety, light technologies and positioning of lights; we then head out for approximately a 2 hour ride on forest tracks and gentle trails in Hamsterley Forest.

Price per person

Single adult £65.00 per person (including Lights - we have a stock of modern 960 lumen LED bar mounted lights and 1200 lumen LED helmet lights that can be borrowed on our MTB Night Riding sessions).

(If you are using your own lights, we recommend a minimum 750 lumen bike specific lights on handle bars and helmet mounted).
