Go Mountain Bike (Go-MTB) is a mountain bike proficiency course suitable for individuals, schools and groups of all ages and abilities. There are 5 levels of proficiency across these 4 themes:

• riding skills,
• first aid,
• being independent and self-supporting
• sharing the outdoors.

Candidates can mix and match the themes and levels according to their interest. The principle aim of the scheme is to support individuals to develop the skills to make independent journeys into the outdoors.

Cycle4adventure can run courses to help you through all five levels of the proficiency award.

The Go Mountain Bike scheme is an ideal activity for Schools and Youth Organisation, offering a recognised Accreditation for an activity enjoyed at all levels of ability. We can offer the Go Mountain Bike scheme in association with other awards such as DofE and Scout awards, whether as part of the “Physical” section or as part of training for an Expedition.

For Schools, Youth Organisations, Groups or Private Individuals; we offer tailored, be-spoke courses; designed around the needs of the individual or group. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

If your school or group has qualified MBLA leaders (other leadership awards please contact Neil for compatibility) and wish to be able to run the Go Mountain Bike scheme in your organisation; then Neil Slater is a Tutor for the  scheme and can offer Leader/Instructor Orientation courses.

The scheme is also ideal for aspiring MTB leaders, whether Trail Cycle Leader or Mountain Bike Leader levels.
