E-Mountain Bikes

We welcome riders on eMTB’s as well as none powered MTB’s, on most of our MTB Courses, Camps and Guided Rides.

Please note eMTB riders must be at least 14 years old and eMTB’s must be UK & EU “Pedalec” legal. Riders of eMTB’s must also be respectful and tolerant to riders of  none  powered bikes (and vice-versa).

ADVANCED TRAIL RIDERS MTB CAMPS

Location(s) - HAMSTERLEY FOREST

Age range - 10 years to 17 years old

Terrain - Drops, Terrain Jumps, Red, Black and Natural Trails

 Maximum ratio - 2:12

Our MTB Camps are run in association with Hamsterley Forest - Forestry England

Our ADVANCED TRAIL RIDERS CAMPS are designed to develop MTB techniques and expand the trails that your Kids ride, this camp is a step up from our Trail Riders Holiday camps. The camps take place over one day, and each One Day Advanced Trail Riders (ATR) Camp will have specific coaching themes, with two different one day ATR Camps in a week, with different coaching themes on each session.

The ATR Camps will cover body position, braking, cornering, FLOW,  and riding technical trails; and specific coaching themes may include bigger drops and terrain jumps, manuals and bunny hops; advanced corning; and more….

ADVANCED TRAIL RIDERS CAMPS are ideal if your child is aged 10 or over, they are comfortable riding red trails as a minimum and they are wanting to develop their MTB skills and confidence on their bike.

DAY ONE - ADVANCED TRAIL RIDERS CAMPS  

NB. the programme may vary depending on the riders and environmental aspects, but a basic idea of the programme is:-

Morning session - Developing FLOW, corning and advanced corning.

Afternoon session - Coaching and riding on carefully chosen RED Trails in Hamsterley Forest

DAY TWO - ADVANCED TRAIL RIDERS CAMPS

NB. the programme may vary depending on the riders and environmental aspects, but a basic idea of the programme is:-

Morning session - developing Drops and Terrain Jumps on Red trails

Afternoon session - developing these skills with some Coaching and riding on RED & BLACK Trails

MINIMUM NUMBERS

NB. Due to Safeguarding and Child Protection rules, from the National Governing Bodies, Forestry England, and my own policies; it is not possible to run a 1:1 session with a under 18 year old on their own..

Sessions with 2 or more junior riders are no problem.

If we don’t have a minimum of 2 riders on a Kids MTB Camp, we will have to look at other options, re-arrange or cancel the session; either prior to the session, or if other riders don’t turn up on the day.
