Follow the Hamsterley Forest - BLUE Trail, with its moderate features and climbs; as it meanders through the Forest.

• Suitable for - intermediate cyclists & Mountain Bikers with basic off-road riding skills and a good level of fitness

Using some of the BLUE Trail, as well as some Bridleways and forest tracks; and may include 1 or 2 sections of the RED trail. A moderate ride with some slightly more challenging climbs; through Hamsterley Forest.

The Hamsterley Forest RED Trail; for a more challenging ride, with some difficult climbs, descents and features. The trail makes its way from one end of the forest to the other, before returning; with plenty of RED features along the way.

• Graded - Difficult
• Suitable for - Proficient Mountain Bikers with a higher level of fitness and stamina; and with good off-road riding skills
• Bike - riding a better quality Mountain Bike
• Duration - up to 4 hour

Following closely inside the Hamsterley Forest boundary, on trails, bridleways and tracks. A more challenging ride with difficult climbs, descents and some RED & BLACK features.

• Distance - 27km / 17 miles
• Height Climb - 700m / 2300 feet
• Graded - Difficult
• Suitable for - accomplished Mountain Bikers with a higher level of fitness, stamina and riding skills
• Bike - riding a better quality Mountain Bike
• Duration - up to 5 hour

We follow the Hamsterley Forest BLACK Trail; for a more challenging ride, with some difficult climbs and descents, with Severe features.

• Distance - 13km / 8 miles
• Height Climb - 400m / 1300 feet
• Graded - Severe
• Suitable for - Expert Mountain Bikers used to physically demanding routes, who are active riders used to prolonged effort.

Heading north out of the forest; following trails, forest tracks, byways and bridleways. This ride has some difficult climbs, descents and features; and a good bit of distance.
